I use a xoskins screen protector on all my stuff. it helps for sure with finger prints and smudges. Just steam up the bathroom befor eyou install to get all the dust out of the air.

At least for Mini, the latest Mail for Exchange found on Ovi works also ok (the install file did not exist anymore), and with the help of above (kind of dated) help it was easy to configure. Only real difference in the steps described above was that the "Domain" could not be left blank, so I used "Home" instead as is shown in one of the screenshots. Both Calendar and Email synced immediately.

Great info.. This is all well and good, but I cant figure out how to make skype out calls to other skype friends (as opposed to making a skypeout call to a phone number). I could do this with Fring on my N95, but cant do it on my N97 - the problem is that I can only input a "phone number" to dial when selecting a skypeout call. Does anyone know how to put letters in there so you can call your skype contacts???

@danny25, I am no longer seeing any option in Gizmo site for "adding Google Voice acc"
May be this has changed since Google has taken over Gizmo.
I am using N82 and also having same issue as you, Cant make outbound calls on mobile via Gizmo+google voice. When I make call it uses Gizmo credit which i dont have much.
Any update since July 26th?

actually - you CAN use gizmo5 with the N97. sure, gizmo hasn't released a client app, but all that ever did was setup the voip settings for you, along with integration into the contacts list.

voip works great - we're still missing integration with the contacts list (ie: presence and IM features) but it is clearly possible to add these features since the service is part of the contacts app.

the instructions for enabling gizmo voip over 3g worked for me too (using at&t medianet unlimited in usa - $15/mo unlimited 3g that is voip capable - thing of beauty i say)

Thanks for the review, I'm going to get this now. I've recently used the invisible shield for the N97. I have to say it's rubbish, the installation was hard and it resulted in bubbles and scratches.

Yes mobile-review and other sources have confirmed that the N97 will be receiving a major firmware update by mid September. The N97 'Mini' 8GB hands on, shows S60V5 with kinetic scrolling a feature yet to be released on the N97 32GB.

Also, when I navigate to the MfE folder on my N97 it is empty.

i've done the same thing - i've also ordered a replacement camera lens from Hong Kong. yup. i've got it already (took a couple weeks) and it cost me about $12USD + $4 shipping. the replacement part includes the sliding cover, the frame around it, the glass that otherwise gets scratched (including the part that covers the dual LEDs).

my plan is to adhere some microsuede or chamois to the underside of the sliding lens cover. i bought this online so i could experiment with it before tearing apart my N97. i've got high-hopes...

Thanks for the heads up. I totally forgot about the forwarding charges since I have tons of rollovers. I’ll have to check my phone bill and see how many mins AT&T charged for each forwarding to GV. Thanks again!
